We’re going to be keeping you up-to-date on all the latest developments as Aeolian Hope moves through production. We’ll keep posting them regularly, so remember to check back often. In addition, if you have any questions about Aeolian Hope, please feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to give spoiler-free answers. We have some exciting updates for you this week. I’ll start with the smaller stuff before getting to the big announcement.
Writing: The writing is progressing very smoothly. The first three issues have already been written. They just need a proofreading pass before they are considered complete scripts. Writing has already begun on the fourth and fifth issue, and is probably about halfway done.
Art: No new art has been done since the last character set was revealed, but that is because our artist has been out of town for the last week and a half. He is returning tomorrow and will be able to start working on the next of two remaining character sets. What group of characters will be revealed next? Well, without spoiling too much, I would point out that we have alternated so far: One UNSC reveal followed by one Covenant reveal. You can expect that pattern to remain in place.
Production: This is the big news for this update. Many of you are probably already familiar with the excellent Halo blog, HaloFanForLife, run by Sal Salerno. Well in a completely unexpected plot twist, Sal has agreed to join the Aeolian Hope project! Sal will be composing the layout and text from the raw art and script Brian and Aubrey provide, as well as proofreading and offering technical advice. Sal has already done some impressive work on Halo fan comics. He made graphic novel versions of both Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and the Halo 4 Spartan Ops Season 1. You can see them here & here respectively. Even more impressive – he made each of those issues within one week’s time as the FUD and Spartan Ops episodes came out. We are really excited here at AH to be working with the talented Mr. Salerno and look forward to a fruitful collaboration.
That’s all for this update. Check back soon for more!
